Awareness and Maintenance of Eco-Friendly Environment in the Campus and Neighborhood
Objectives of the Practice
- To inculcate a sense of responsibility among staff and students to maintain an eco-friendly environment.
- To enable students to gain hands-on experience in plantation, watering plants, preparing organic manure, and removing weeds.
- To visit natural ecosystems such as water bodies and forests to understand biodiversity and environmental protection.
- To organize activities related to environmental awareness and sustainability.
The Context
Education plays a key role in environmental awareness. It increases knowledge about biodiversity,
global warming, and environmental protection, and equips students with appropriate skills,
attitudes, and behavior to face climate challenges. Environmental education helps students become
responsible citizens. Youth have great potential as agents of change; hence the institution is
committed to promoting environmental consciousness.
The Practice
The college actively promotes sustainable development by maintaining a green and serene campus.
A special cell named “Meghdoot Nisarg Mandal” along with NSS and NCC units undertakes
various eco-friendly initiatives.

Blood Donation Camp
Blood donation is one of the noblest services to humanity. One donation can save up to three lives.
The college actively organizes blood donation camps to serve society and promote social
responsibility.
Objectives
- To sensitize students about the importance of blood donation
- To motivate students to donate blood at least once a year
- To develop humanitarian values
- To provide scientific awareness regarding blood donation
The Context
Blood is essential for surgeries, cancer treatment, chronic illnesses, and emergencies.
Regular donations ensure availability of safe blood. Blood donation is the true act of humanity.

Best Practice – I : Morning Assembly

The college conducts a daily morning assembly including the National Anthem and University Song.
It also serves as a platform for counseling and student interaction.

The Practice
A uniform dress code has been implemented since 2008-09. Students purchase dress material from open
market as per prescribed color code.
